Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently got a taste of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. He got on the hype train and made his presence felt during her concert in Lyon, France. Well, he got some strong words after witnessing the record-breaking production.

He had a few days off during his European tour that commenced in Madrid, Spain, on June 1 and will resume in Lyon on Wednesday, June 5. It seems that he headed to France early to witness the over-three-hour spectacle that everyone has been talking about.

“Just saw Taylor Swift eras tour in Lyon France 🇫🇷!!” he wrote on Instagram after the performance. “Great production. Great voice . Great entertainer. Great songwriting,” he declared, describing it as a “Crazy crowd,” too.

“People even shared with me some friendship bracelets,” he added as he flaunted a couple of handmade bracelets that read a pair of Swift’s lyrics. “Thanks a million @taylorswift.”

Green Day fans are hopeful that he was there taking notes for an “eras tour” of his own, with one questioning, “Giving you ideas for a Green Day eras tour?”

Others wondered if there could be a collaboration between the artists in the works—and, if not, hoped one could come to fruition. “Green day and Taylor swift collab when?” one wanted to know, while another crossed their fingers for a “Taylor rock album” that could be the perfect fit.

Meanwhile, it has been noted that Taylor Swift fans have created a long tradition of proposing to their partners during the Grammy winner’s shows. It has come to light that a couple participated in the trend during the same concert and it’s making their fellow Swifties swoon over their love.

Armando Moya Ruiz, who was in attendance for Swift’s latest tour stop in Lyon, France earlier this week, revealed his special proposal moment on X (formerly Twitter) as he shared a picture of his boyfriend down on one knee while asking Ruiz to marry him.

Swift could be seen on stage in the background of the pic, presumably singing her smash hit song “Love Story,” which contains the lyrics, “He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said ‘Marry me, Juliet.'”

The surrounding Swifties who witnessed the sweet proposal looked overjoyed for Ruiz and his partner, with many of the nearby fans pulling out their phones to capture the moment.

“He knelt to the ground, pulled out a ring and said, ‘Marry me,'” Ruiz captioned his tweet on Tuesday, June 4, while adding a reference to another one of Swift’s songs by writing, “Long story short, we’re getting married.”

“Aw this is the BEST TS proposal I have ever seen. Look at the lovely Swifties round you too! Congratulations,” one user wrote to the couple on X, as someone else added, “What an epic photo! The joy and love are radiating! Congratulations!”
