Guns N’ Roses are rumored to play Lollapalooza Brasil in 2020, Destak Jornal reports. Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan have hinted at a new Guns N’ Roses album over the last few years.

“Three years after the presence of Metallica in the line up, heavy rock returns to be one of the main attractions of the Brazilian Lollapalooza. The Destak found that the 2020 edition will be GNR as one of headliners. The event takes place on dates to be defined between the end of March and the beginning of April.”

The detail is that the American band is suspected to arrive with a new record and the classical formation, or the closest to it. Another rumor is that the group could play the full 1991 album ‘Use Your Illusion’ in which they recorded hits like ‘You Could Be Mine’, ‘Don’t Cry’ and a cover of ‘Knockin ‘On Heaven’s Door’ by Bob Dylan.”

In a La Nacion Rolling Stone interview that was also just published and conducted at the same time in early April, Slash seemed very positive about new GNR.

Do you plan to write material for the new Guns N ‘Roses album while you are in South America?

“When I finish this tour and return to Los Angeles we will begin to work with hope on the new Guns album.”

A few days ago three years of the first night when you played with Axl Rose and Guns N ‘Roses, in the Troubador. How was that return?

“The Troubador was surreal, like a kind of magical night. In that place we had our musical beginnings, so he also had a sentimental load. Since the 80s we did not play there. It was a crazy and memorable moment.”
