Last night in Toronto, Axl Rose discussed Guns N’ Roses getting stopped at the border in Canada. He said that after border patrol searched the bus, they found a gun in the tour bus. They were detained at the customs office. Axl said it wasn’t his gun, and Slash and him exchanged a chuckle.

“So, we weren’t exactly arrested. We were detained,” Rose said of the border stop, which happened as the tour traveled from Philadelphia to Toronto. “They were very nice, they were very understanding. You know, it happens: You can forget you have a fucking gun.”

Rose then added, “Wasn’t my gun.”

A representative for GN’R confirmed to Billboard, “Yes, this indeed happened on Friday, July 15, as they were crossing the border coming from the Philadelphia tour stop on the 14th.”
