Guns N’ Roses Make Surprising 2019 Announcement, Are They Done?

Guns N’ Roses have updated their tour dates page, which now has no upcoming events for the first time since the band reunited in April 2016 to kick off the Not In This Lifetime tour.

The tour dates section now says, “We are not done yet…. shits just getting started.”

It is unclear what ‘shit’ they are referring to. Slash will be touring with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators until the summer, but he said in a recent interview at that point Guns N’ Roses will figure out their next plans. It’s unclear if the band could tour or play select live shows in 2019, as the band’s recent show in Honolulu, Hawaii was advertised as the final show of the two and a half year Not In This Lifetime tour.

Guns N’ Roses manager Fernando Lebeis had uploaded a photo of Axl Rose walking away backstage with the caption: ‘The End…?’ This cryptic caption left fans guessing about what is next for the band, but the mystery has been part of the fun of being a GNR fan the last few years. Guns N’ Roses did film their Dodger Stadium shows in Los Angeles in 2016, so if they would like to release a live album and DVD, they have two shows in the can. Slash has discussed coming up with ideas for a new Guns N’ Roses album, and Axl Rose said in 2016 that he played Slash and Duff McKagan ideas he had been working on since the release of 2008’s Chinese Democracy for their consideration.
