Halestorm & In This Moment Show Women Are Taking Charge Of Hard Rock

In This Moment & Halestorm just started back on the third leg of their co-headlining tour together with opener New Years Day at select shows. Alternative Nation had the pleasure of shooting Saturday night’s show in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Though we missed the opportunity to shoot New Years Day, we still got to catch the latter half of their set. Together, the trio packs hard rock, metal, and a touch of feminism into each performance, ultimately making a powerful statement about the changing role of women in rock and roll.

We actually got to catch up with Halestorm front woman Lzzy Hale and guitarist Joe Hottinger back in July. When asked what Hale thinks the future holds for rock and roll, she stated, “If I can be so bold, I think that we’re taking over.” Read the full interview here and see the photos of In This Moment & Halestorm below.
