Howard Stern Misses Another Show

Howard Stern’s recent absence from his radio show has sparked concern among listeners. Reports say he missed the Monday, February 2 episode of The Howard Stern Show, and this is not the first time he has been away in recent weeks. Because of that, some fans are wondering if there is something going on behind the scenes.

Fans Question the State of the Show

On Reddit, several listeners discussed Stern’s absence and shared frustration about the current state of the channels. Some said there has been very little live or original content for a long time. One user wrote, “The channels are so dead and they have been for a long time. There is very little live or original content.”

Another commenter questioned the value of continuing the show, writing, “I don’t know why Sirius even bothers.”

A third user was even more critical, saying, “Why would Sirius keep paying the staff for very little effort? The ego maniac with the wig should give them at least a few hours each week doing their own shows. Hopefully, at least a couple of them would be capable of not completely embarrassing themselves.”

Contract Renewal Brings Mixed Feelings

Despite these concerns, Stern confirmed in December that The Howard Stern Show would continue. After long contract negotiations, he announced that he had reached a new agreement with SiriusXM.

“I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all,” Stern said on the December 16 episode of the show. “The announcement is that we’re going to be partnering with SiriusXM and [will] continue to entertain for the next three years. I’m excited about it because I do still love radio.”
