In 2018, Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggy 2 Dope was involved in an onstage incident with Fred Durst during Limp Bizkit’s headlining set at New Jersey’s Rock Allegiance Festival. In the middle of their performance, the rapper and professional wrestler ran out and attempted to dropkick Durst off the edge.
Luckily for Durst, Shaggy 2 Dope missed and was quickly tackled by security to the sound of boos from the crowd.
Now, during a recent appearance on “Hot Ones Versus,” the Juggalo leader recalled the incident, explaining his mindset at the time.
“Well, alcohol was involved. That was done as a wrestling work dropkick. I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real,” Shaggy 2 Dope said. “I don’t know why in my drunk brain. I just figured that he was also a wrestling. He’d know how to sell the move. You know what I’m saying? So, no, he didn’t sell.”
“I’ll tell you how they sold it. How they sold it was their security came out and choked me out on stage and dragged me out,” he continued. “I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumbass, of course, for doing this sh*t.”
