Kathy Griffin recently shared a funny but gross story about her ex, Jack Black. In a TikTok video, she talked about their short relationship in the ’90s and a weird habit she noticed while staying at his place.
She remembered spending the night at his apartment in Vermont and taking a shower the next morning. When she stepped out and asked for a towel, Black told her she was already standing on it—his bath mat was also his towel!
Griffin was shocked but laughed it off, saying, “That’s how some guys are.” Even though she found his hygiene strange, she kept dating him. “So of course, I kept sleeping with him,” she joked.
She also said that at that time in her life, dating Black made other guys think she was cool. “He was the first boyfriend I had where other guys thought I was cool because I was with him,” she said, though she admitted they weren’t really serious.
To prove they were together, she posted an old picture of them cuddling on a couch. She wrote, “You won’t believe this one! That’s why you should never miss my new YouTube show ‘Kathy Griffin: Talk Your Head Off.’”
Fans had a lot to say in the comments. One person asked if they laughed a lot together, and she replied, “YES.” Another joked, “The towel thing is so real. So is still sleeping with him, lol.” Someone else said, “I think we’ve all dated a Jack Black at least once, Kathy.”
One fan even compared Black to a TV character, saying, “He walked so Nick Miller could run!”—talking about the messy but lovable guy from New Girl.
