Joe Rogan Says He Turned Down 2017 Epstein Meeting Request
Podcaster Joe Rogan has addressed his name appearing in a recent batch of Jeffrey Epstein-related files, saying he declined an effort to connect him with the disgraced financier back in 2017. Rogan discussed the matter on his show while speaking with actor Ms. Cheryl Hines, framing his inclusion in the documents as a reflection of refusing the invitation rather than accepting it.
In the newly released materials, Epstein wrote to physicist Dr. Lawrence Krauss asking if he could be introduced to Rogan, and Krauss later indicated Rogan did not respond to the outreach, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Rogan said that when a guest suggested he meet Epstein, he immediately rejected the idea and described looking Epstein up online before deciding there was no scenario in which he would go. Hines pressed him on what possible motivation there could be for meeting Epstein, and Rogan responded that some people are drawn to being around wealthy, influential circles even without wanting to be part of them.
Rogan’s comments arrive as public attention has intensified around names mentioned in the Epstein material, including celebrities, politicians, and business figures, with social media debates often blurring the line between being referenced and being implicated, a pattern also seen in reactions such as Ted Nugent posts about the Epstein client list.
For Rogan, the discussion served as a blunt clarification: he says he did not meet Epstein, did not entertain the invitation, and believes Epstein’s strategy was to place himself in proximity to respected people to normalise his presence. The renewed attention is likely to keep generating responses from public figures as more documents and context are scrutinised.
Rocker Jack White has responded to Rogan’s claims about Epstein, and Rogan recently stating he’s disappointed in President Trump’s handling of the Epstein scandal.
“Yeah, no shit slow joe. We all knew this back when you were HELPING TRUMP GET ELECTED. I kind of understand though, you were busy giving out expert medical advice to millions with your advanced degree in ‘uncle in garage lifting weights’ from UFC university.”
