Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain has announced that she will soon be putting out her first ever original music as we kick off 2019, though no official details on the album are out yet.

She wrote on her Instagram story, “Thank you 2018 for leaving me with a sense of true purpose and resolve. I am so flippin’ excited to put the art that’s in my head and heart out into the world. It’s pretty special (I think). XOXO A Happy Frances Bean.”

The Business Post reported over the summer that Frances Bean Cobain has signed a two-album deal with Columbia Records, and her first album is due soon.

Cobain has been teasing new song ideas all years, most famously a song that appeared to be about her late father that she posted a clip of on April 5th, the 24th anniversary of his death by suicide in 1994.

Cobain has released a teaser of a haunting new song where she touches on themes of loss and suicide.

She posted lyrics and a description of her voice in the song:

“No one told me
How I should love myself
Damn near killed me
Damn near killed myself
I’ve been stuck inside your time capsule
Don’t you think you
Ought to let me
Go go
Go go
Go go
Don’t chyu think you
Ought to let me go

If I could keep the raspiness in my voice from being sick without getting sick … I would.”
