Letters that Layne Staley wrote to Columbia Records in 1995 regarding Mad Season’s Above album have surfaced on Collecionzz.

The website states, “This is something I hope some of you Layne fans and collectors appreciate. This is the original album artwork that Layne created for Mad Season’s Above along with negatives, materials and several handwritten letters by the band. 2 of these letters were handwritten by Layne and made out to Sony’s art department with some great character/ detail. The other letter is in an unknown hand and has some other details about the look of the album/cd. This is one of my favorite items that i own from one of my favorite artists.”

Read Staley’s handwritten letters below. The third is written by John Baker Saunders.
