On Tuesday (February 25th), a Twitter/X user shared a screenshot of an Instagram DM between Fred Durst and a fan in which it appears that the Limp Bizkit frontman accidentally sent them a link to the band’s new album.
“Fred Durst accidentally leaked his new album to a fan through Instagram DMs,” the Twitter/X user wrote alongside the shared screenshot.
As seen in the messages between Durst and the unidentified fan, the musician sent a link before following up the message with, “Wrong person my bad.”
When the fan responded with, “Imma leak this,” Durst replied: “What r u going to gain from it?”
A few people in the comment section of the Twitter/X post attempted to use the link Durst allegedly sent by manually typing it into their browser, but according to those fans the link seems to no longer be active.
Last year, it was reported that Limp Bizkit was back in the studio working on their first new album since 2021’s “Still Sucks.”
Durst announced they had started working on a new record via an Instagram video of drummer John Otto recording some tracks. “Oh sh*t, in the studio with John Otto … we ‘bout to lay it down with those drumsticks dawg,” Durst can be heard saying. “Let’s get that funky funky. Let’s get that Limp Bizkit popping off.”
