A fan on Reddit noted that during the Limp Bizkit’s recent performance at Rock am Ring, Fred Durst said that Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl backstage asked them to tour together and said that he’s already looking forward to it.

“I wouldn’t mind, but a FF-QOTSA tour is what I’m really hoping for”

Aemmon said:

“I swear that it needs to happens, they’re playing at the same festivals the new albums are releasing around the same time. Everything is lining up perfectly for a collab world tour.”

JohnnyPark87 said:

“At The Town festival in September in Brazil FF-QOTSA Will be playing at the same night. Also happened in 2018 when they toured together here. I was there and it was amazing. Excited for September.”

“Fred Durst is also full of it so I would take it with a heaping pile of salt”

External_Trick4479 believes “There’s zero point zero chance. Foo fighters don’t need a known supporting act to sell out anything.”

Bjmort: “That’s not the point. It’s about putting on a great show. For concrete and gold they toured with weezer and it was sick.”

Meanwhile, The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan recently picked Dave Grohl as the musician who has “won the race” in his generation.

Corgan went on to note that his own “greatest opponent” at this point is himself. Billy Corgan recently grabbed attention with his recollection of Kurt Cobain’s passing, where he described the late Nirvana frontman and the voice of Generation X as his ” greatest opponent.”

According to The Smashing Pumpkins frontman, Kurt “was the most talented guy of our generation” whose creativity could be measured against even John Lennon, which made Kurt’s suicide all the more devastating given the two’s assumed rival status.
