Linkin Park could soon reunite, and fans are already speculating about where they might see the iconic band take the stage. Linkin Park has been on an indefinite hiatus since the tragic passing of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017 and it has left fans wondering if they would ever see their favorite band back on stage.

With a potential tour in 2025 on the horizon, several major festivals would be perfect for a Linkin Park comeback.

Here are five festivals that could be on the band’s radar:

Welcome to Rockville

Welcome to Rockville is one of the biggest rock festivals in the United States, and it’s already teasing a potential Linkin Park reunion. As part of the Danny Wimmer Presents lineup, this festival has a history of bringing legendary acts to the stage. It is held in Daytona Beach, Florida and it offers a massive platform for Linkin Park to make a triumphant return. With the festival’s social media hinting at a reunion, this could be the spot where fans finally see the band back in action.

Linkin Park have launched a 100-hour countdown timer on their official website and social media accounts – sparking speculation about what the band are set to announce.

The website URL has also been updated to include the symbol ‘ø’ – which is also the title of the YouTube video hosting the countdown timer. The timer is due to hit zero on Wednesday, August 28.

Welcome to Rockville festival’s Instagram page also posted the countdown timer. However, the post has since been removed. This led some to believe Linkin Park’s surviving members would perform at the Florida, USA, event next year. Welcome to Rockville returns May 15-18, 2025.

Rocklahoma

Another festival under the Danny Wimmer Presents umbrella, Rocklahoma is held annually in Pryor, Oklahoma, and is known for its diverse lineup of rock and metal acts. The festival draws a passionate crowd of music lovers who would welcome Linkin Park with open arms. Given the festival’s reputation for featuring both classic and contemporary rock bands, Linkin Park would be a perfect fit for the headlining slot. Rocklahoma 2024 is set to take place on August 30-September 1 at Pryor Creek, OK.

Aftershock

Aftershock, held in Sacramento, California, is another major festival that could see Linkin Park making their return. The even is for its heavy-hitting lineup and intense atmosphere. Aftershock is a favorite among rock fans. The festival’s West Coast location also makes it a convenient stop for Linkin Park, who have deep roots in California. If the band is looking to reconnect with their home base, Aftershock could be the ideal venue. Aftershock Festival 2024 will take place on October 10-13, 2024 at Discovery Park.

Louder Than Life

Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, is another Danny Wimmer Presents festival that could host Linkin Park’s return to the stage. The festival is known for its mix of hard rock and metal, along with a diverse range of other genres. With its growing popularity and ability to draw massive crowds, Louder Than Life would be a fitting stage for Linkin Park to showcase their powerful live performances once again. Louder Than Life festival will take place from September 26th to September 29th at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Coachella

While Coachella might be more associated with indie and pop acts, it has a history of hosting big-name rock bands as well. A Linkin Park reunion at Coachella would be a huge statement, drawing attention from a wider audience beyond their core rock fans. The festival’s global reach would offer the band a unique opportunity to reintroduce themselves to the world, possibly with a new twist on their classic sound. Coachella will take place next year in April.

Linkin Park’s potential return to the stage has fans eagerly awaiting any official announcements. Whether it’s at a rock-centric festival like Welcome to Rockville or a broader event like Coachella, one thing is certain: Linkin Park’s comeback will be a moment to remember.
