Linkin Park recently released a video for their new single ‘Over Each Other’. The clip was filmed late last month in South Korea after the band’s sold-out show at the 15,000-capacity Inspire Arena in Seoul. The music video narrates a story involving singer Emily Armstrong and what is listed in credits as her ‘best friend,’ played by Korean actress Kong Seong-Ha. Initially Kong’s character was speculated to be Emily’s girlfriend.

The film was directed by band DJ/creative director Joe Hahn, who has previously overseen shoots for Numb, From the Inside, What I’ve Done and several others.

In an Instagram post, Hahn said: “A couple of nights after our show in #Seoul Korea, @emilyarmstrong and I stayed in town to shoot our next music video for #OverEachOther.

“It has been a dream of mine to direct a project in Korea one day and this happened! We embraced the K-ness of it all and made it feel like a K-drama. Like always, Emily crushed the performance. I’m looking forward to sharing this with you all next Thursday. Thank you to the cast, @kongseongha, the crew and the rest of the boys from @linkinpark.”

The band’s new album From Zero is arriving on November 15th, and the new track has been released after ‘The Emptiness Machine’, and ‘Heavy is the Crown’. The band is set to continue their world tour in support of From Zero this November, including three new shows happening in Paris, Dallas and Sao Paulo.

Linkin Park made their comeback in September with a new lineup. They previously had been on hiatus since the tragic death of frontman Chester Bennington, who took his own life aged 41 in 2017. However, they put an end to their hiatus and returned with Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong on vocals and Colin Brittain on drums in place of Rob Bourdon.

Linkin Park’s next live show is on November 3 at La Defense Arena in Paris, France.
