Linkin Park recently returned from hiatus and they have reunited for the first time since their iconic frontman Chester Bennington’s tragic passing in 2017. Emily Armstrong was introduced as their new vocalist replacing him. However, she has faced massive backlash while filling in the shoes of Chester. Linkin Park also debuted their first single in seven years, The Emptiness Machine, which serves as the lead track for their latest album, ‘From Zero.’ Emily Armstrong and Mike Shinoda recently spoke to Genius, explaining the lyrics of the song, and also addressed the hate she receives.

Emily Armstrong has received massive success as part of Linkin Park. The band has earned their fourth UK number 1 album with ‘From Zero’. They have also landed its sixth Number one on Top Rock & Alternative Albums, which began in 2006, and first since One More Light. ‘From Zero’ also became the band’s ninth No. 1 on Top Hard Rock Albums, which began in 2007 – breaking Linkin Park out of a tie with Pearl Jam for the most in the chart’s history. The band also achieved a historical feat of simultaneously occupying the entire top ten with every eligible song from the album on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.

Linkin Park might have haters but they do have millions of fans around the world. They have headlining tour planned throughout 2025. The band was reportedly set to earn several million dollars for their Sick New World performance in 2025. However, the Las Vegas festival was unfortunately canceled. Originally scheduled for April 12th, it was going to be the third time the event took place, with the inaugural festival taking place in the spring of 2023.

Although Sick New World didn’t explain the reason behind the cancelation, a report by Hits Daily Double suggests that the event didn’t sell enough tickets to be profitable. Linkin Park were allegedly guaranteed $5 million for their performance, and the event needed to either sell out or come close to it to make up for those costs. Linkin Park’s 2025 tour will start on January 25th in Mexico City and conclude on November 15th in Brazil.
