The chronically underrated alternative rock band Live, fresh off the heels of their reunion last year with original frontman Ed Kowalczyk, are ready to unveil new material with their new (old) lineup.
I spoke to Ed at Live Nation’s $20 Concert Week kickoff event, where he was joined by Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz. The two bands will be touring together over the summer, and Ed revealed Live will be using the opportunity to put out some new material.
According to Ed, “[Live’s] new single is called ‘Love Lounge’. We have a mix we really like and I think we are going to be putting it out in June, alongside the tour.”
Live’s latest album, The Turn, featured Chris Shinn on vocals. Their last record with Ed was 2006’s Songs from Black Mountain.
