Former Marilyn Manson keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy (aka Pogo) was recently sharing his favorite New York music, and he ripped The Strokes:

I know they’re from New York City, but I hate The Strokes, and I always will.

I just felt the incredible need to insert that into my music playing today.

Because I know some douche nut is going to ask me why I’m not playing that crap.

Little rich kids pretending that they’re from the streets, how pathetic.

Their music is really lackluster.

They’re the same kind of New York that spawned Donald Trump not the Ramones.

I guess I just opened up a whole Pandora’s box of whoop ass.

The English press loves them so they must be awesome.

I will take the Dandy Warhols any day, and I’m going to play that s*** right now.

Pogo has drawn a backlash from fans for criticizing the suicides of Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, and Kurt Cobain this year.
