Former Marilyn Manson bassist Jeordie White (aka Twiggy Ramirez) has offered his first public comment on his firing over a rape allegation from Jessicka Addams.

“I wish to spend this time with my family and focus on maintaining my several years of sobriety.”

Jessicka Addams has sent out several tweets since Twiggy’s firing, revealing that she had a conversations with Marilyn Manson, which is why some of the tension between the two has gone away just a week after she tweeted that he ‘demeans women for fun.’

She said, “Discussions were had. Apologies made. That’s all the fans need to know!”

Regarding Twiggy, she discussed the sadness she felt for his friends and family.

“It saddens me that his friends & family are in pain.”

“Talking about sexual assult and the survivors who are still suffering is imperative. Too many people suffer. Too many repeat predators.”

According to her statement last, Jessicka Addams and Jeordie White began dating in the ’90s—when she was 18—but over time his temper turned increasingly physical. During a tour break with Nine Inch Nails, White allegedly visited Addams at their friend Pete‘s apartment. “He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck,” she wrote. “I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved.” See her full post below.

Addams explained her decision to come forward now, stating that she’d been warned by her record company in 1997 about going public, but finally wanted to share her story. “The label blatantly feared the big machine behind Marilyn Manson would use their power to destroy not only Jack Off Jill, but my name, Jessicka, as well. The pressure and guilt of the inevitable repercussions of my rape story affecting my band’s livelihood, happiness and success kept me silent for years.” A 2015 interview she gave Alternative Press obliquely hinted at the abusive relationship she had with White.
