A fan recently asked Maynard James Keenan if Tool are planning a full 2018 tour surrounding their Northern Invasion and Rock on the Range festival performances, and Keenan shot down that speculation, dashing hopes that Tool will have a new album ready by that time of the year.

A Perfect Circle drummer Jeff Friedl is offering drum lessons:

I’ve decided to run a Holiday Special on Drum Lessons!

All level/ages are welcome. In person in LA at my studio or online via Skype for out of state/country students.

Two 60 min lessons for $175, or two 30 min lessons for $100!
You can redeem your lessons at any time but make sure to purchase your “Holiday Bundle” before December 25th!

You can purchase these lessons for friends, family, & anybody else who’d be interested. Hope to see some new drumming faces in the near future!

Go to: www.jefffriedl.com

and go to the “Lesson” section to purchase the “Holiday Bundle” packages.

A fan recently wrote to Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan on Twitter, “So is it true that you are going to release the new album? Like SERIOUSLY there will be new Tool songs to listen while having a mental breakdown at night under my blanket. Omg I’m so fucking excited!”

Keenan responded, “Never said that.”

A fan also asked him a wine question, “Mr. Keenan, is your annual case production at Caduceus and Merkin sufficient enough to entertain possible distribution in New York? I’m a distributor in the NY Metro area and have tasted some of your offerings. I know of no Arizona wines here. Would luv 2 rep yours.”

Keenan responded, “Martin Scott. Been there for years.”

Drummer Danny Carey recently claimed that Tool will release their new album in 2018. Maynard James Keenan has reacted to the news on Twitter by simply saying: “Burp.”

Loudwire recently spoke to Tool drummer Danny Carey and his Legends of the Seagullmen bandmate Jimmy Hayward. Carey confirmed that Tool will release a new album in 2018, and have it completed in the first half of the year.

Hayward was also privy to Tool’s schedule, commenting, “I think with Tool heating up it makes it a little trickier, but these guys work minimum four days a week already. I think [Legend of the Seagullmen] want to do one, two week tours and festivals.”

When pressed if fans can expect a new Tool album in 2018, Carey pushed his chips to the center of the table when stating, “Yes. I’m saying definitely. We’ll probably have it done in the first half [of the year] if things go as planned. There’s setup times and manufacturing – I can never predict all that, it seems like it’s constantly evolving. [What time of year it will be out] I can’t tell you.”

Maynard James Keenan’s other band A Perfect Circle is set to release a new album in 2018. Those plans actually seem concrete with the release of single “The Doomed” and the live debuts of other songs live. Do you think 2018 will be the year of Maynard with new Tool and A Perfect Circle albums after over a decade? Let us know in the comments section!
