Maynard James Keenan hilariously poked fun at Tool and Guns N’ Roses for taking a long time to finish albums in a new tweet, referencing Guns N’ Roses’ infamous 2008 album Chinese Democracy. Tool are set to finally release their new album on August 30, 2019, their followup to 2006’s 10,000 Days. The band are currently touring North America.

“I’m very glad the album’s coming! But what will the album be called?”

Keenan responded, “Chinese DuexMocracy #snort.”

Tool fans posted on Reddit about the Birmingham show that took place earlier this week.

It’s my 5th show and they really put some passion into this one. We drove 4 hours to get there and it was worth it. Best show yet.

Can confirm. I was there too. The crowd was unbelievable. Maynard actually held the microphone out to the crowd to sing parts of multiple songs because they were so loud. The band was feeling the love for sure. Justin (and you could tell, even Maynard) ate it up. Adam was stoic as usual. I took a guy who has been to tons of shows in his time (but never Tool). He said it was the best he’d every seen.

Feel really sorry for all those fuqqers that went to grab beers during intermission and missed the announcement.
