Anyone who is a fan of the White Stripes knows just how talented Meg White is, as she helped define a generation as the White Stripes’ drummer. However, she’s always kept a relatively low profile and people rarely see photos of her online.

As revealed by an old Reddit post, a photo from about 10 years ago is the most recent photo of Meg White. In the aforementioned photo, Meg could be seen smiling with a woman in what looked like an outdoor setting.
Will Meg White Appear at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
This resurfaced photo comes just as the White Stripes are being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 40th annual induction ceremony in Los Angeles today. They will be honored alongside acts such as OutKast, Soundgarden, Cyndi Lauper, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Salt-N-Pepa, and Warren Zevon.
This is actually the first major recognition tied to the White Stripes since the band officially ended for good back in 2011, after rising from Detroit’s garage rock scene to worldwide success with songs like Fell in Love With a Girl and the absolute classic Seven Nation Army.
According to The Detroit News, representatives for the White Stripes did not comment when contacted this week. The band has not released any official statement about the Rock Hall induction since it was announced back in April.
It’s also worth noting that being inducted does not always mean the artists will attend. For example, Axl Rose did not show up when Guns N’ Roses were inducted in 2012, and in 2023 only Tom Morello attended when Rage Against the Machine was inducted.
If Meg White were to appear at the ceremony, it would be the first time she has been seen at a major public event in more than 15 years. She has intentionally stepped away from public life, choosing to live quietly in Detroit.
Since the end of the White Stripes, she has avoided interviews, stayed off social media, and hasn’t taken part in any public music activity. Her final appearance with Jack White as part of the band was in 2009, during the last episode of Late Night With Conan O’Brien.
So obviously people really wonder whether Meg White will even appear at the ceremony. That’s why fans are watching closely to see whether she attends alongside Jack White or continues her quiet life away from the limelight, as there’s still some hope she’ll somehow make an appearance at the event.
