Idaho Statesman reports (via Ultimate-Guitar) that Metallica has accepted the #MetallicaDiet Challenge from radio personality Big J, inciting the overweight host to lose at least 100 pounds before they play Boise’s Taco Bell Arena on November 28.

If Mr. J succeeds, the boys will do an interview with him. The host currently weighs 424 pounds and has chronicled his battles with the scale on social media.

Big J told Blabbermouth:

“See, I need to lose a crap ton of weight, so I thought I would ask Metallica for some incentive.”
Lars Ulrich said:

“Big J, we wish you the very best of luck. Become … a smaller J.”
