Metallica Las Vegas Sphere VIP Package Sparks Backlash

Metallica are facing fresh criticism from fans over the price of a premium meet-and-greet ticket package tied to the band’s upcoming Las Vegas Sphere residency dates, with the cost highlighted online as emblematic of how expensive major concert experiences have become.

The face-value price for a two-day “Meet & Greet Snake Pit” package comes to $5,954.12, with a fan on social media reacting that the experience may be “cool,” but questioned paying nearly $6,000.

According to the details shared, the package includes a ticket to the Snake Pit standing section in the middle of the stage, plus a meet-and-greet and group conversation with two band members and a photo taken by the tour photographer.

The list also describes additional perks such as access to an enhanced pre-show “Black Box Experience” with memorabilia and interactive exhibits, drink tokens, a limited-edition poster, an autographed setlist covering both shows, Metallica-branded drinkware, and an MP3 download of live audio from both nights, as well as on-site check-in support. The pricing discussion follows other fan complaints this cycle, including high ticket fees reported around the Vegas onsale.

While VIP packages have long commanded steep markups, the reaction underscores ongoing frustration among concertgoers about escalating live-music costs, particularly when premium experiences approach the price of major travel expenses for a single weekend of shows.
