Brittany Furlan recently shared some surprising details about her husband Tommy Lee’s grooming habits. On the “Off the Vine” podcast, Furlan revealed that Lee, known for his rock star persona, showers only about once a week. She explained that Lee’s habits stem from his upbringing in Athens, Greece, where daily bathing wasn’t a priority. Instead, Lee opts for “bird baths” using soap, a washcloth, and a sink when he feels the need to freshen up.
“My husband’s very neat, which people wouldn’t expect from someone who’s a musician. They would expect him to be a f—ing nightmare, like, dirty. He doesn’t shower a lot, but he’s very neat.”
While Furlan, 38, prefers daily showers, she joked that her frequent bathing might strip her body of its natural oils. Despite their differing hygiene routines, Furlan isn’t bothered by Lee’s habits, calling him “handsome” and noting that he doesn’t give her “the ick.”
The couple, who share a 24-year age gap, started dating in 2017 and tied the knot on Valentine’s Day 2019. Their playful and unconventional dynamic has been a hallmark of their relationship.
Lee, 62, is Furlan’s first husband but his fourth marriage. The Mötley Crüe drummer was previously married to Elaine Starchuk, Heather Locklear, and Pamela Anderson. Lee shares two sons, Brandon and Dylan, with Anderson. Despite their past, Anderson publicly supported Lee’s marriage to Furlan, expressing happiness for their union.
