The legendary musician Nikki Sixx is still hopeful of Guns N’ Roses joining Mötley Crüe on tour.

Nikki Sixx talks about Motley Crue

“Is there any bands that you would like to tour with in the future that you haven’t toured with yet?” a fan asked the bassist in a recent Q&A session on X.

“We all still think a GnR +Crue tour equals sold out stadiums,” Sixx replied to the user’s question. “What a great night that would be for rock n roll fans.”

A possible tour has been on the cards for some time. Back in March, Nikki shared an update in a post on X. During a fan Q&A, someone asked for news, and Sixx replied, “We tried. It just didn’t work out for now. Would be a great tour. You never know.”

The rumors began in July 2023 when Nikki expressed his desire for Mötley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses to tour together. He said it would be a powerful combination. “We think it would be a killer tour for the fans, but nothing is in the works. We’re still figuring out what’s next (next year) for us….” Sixx again wrote on X in August 2023.

“We think it would be a great tour for fans and both bands alike. Everybody is touring and working right now. If something that massive was to happen, it would just have to happen naturally,” the bassist expressed interest in another tour with GNR during a Q&A in September 2023.

More recently in June, a user on X asked Sixx about the chance of a tour with Guns N’ Roses. The user also mentioned hearing that Crüe thought a tour with GNR would be great. Sixx replied, “No plans at this point. Hopefully in 2025.”

Earlier this month, the musician talked more negatively about a possible tour. “We really tried. What a tour for the fans,” Nikki answered when a fan wrote to him, “We are holding out hope that Mötley Crüe and Guns and Roses Stadium tour next year hits Hersheypark. If so, we will be there.”
