Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx recently took to his Instagram account and posted a video clip of late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins jamming with Nikki Sixx on stage. His caption read:
“You know when something pops up on your phone and stops you in your tracks? This happened this morning. Still seems impossible that we lost Taylor. But it warms heart knowing that we had a lot of fun this day. It really is important to live in the moment because we don’t know when this all might end. God bless….”
Foo Fighters celebrated Taylor Hawkins’ memory and music at a special gig in London on Saturday, September 3. Hawkins, the band’s drummer since 1997, died in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25. He was 50 years old. Foo Fighters performed for a couple of hours at Wembley Stadium for a special tribute show for the late band drummer Taylor Hawkins. ‘The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts’ also took place at LA’s Kia Forum on September 27.
Foo Fighters have got a surprise for the fans after the band shared what appears to be a teaser of new music. An update has emerged on the matter.
Speculation about who will be drumming for the Foos from now on remains. Pearl Jam‘s Matt Cameron recently shot down rumors that he’d be joining the band. This came after Radio X DJ Chris Moyles apologised to Grohl for revealing that a new Foo Fighters album was on the way.
“I don’t know what to say without getting in trouble, I don’t know what to say without people going, ‘what?’, I don’t know what to say without looking stupid…I don’t know what people want me to say,” he said on air.
“I think people want me to say, ‘yes, I can’t say anything else, I can’t say anymore but yes, I’m telling you there is a new album coming out in March this year.’ I’m not going to say any of that. Look, all I will say is this. I can’t say anymore…anyway, sorry Dave. I’m really sorry Dave.”
