UPDATE: It’s bullshit.
Not true.

Trent Reznor had previously teased a return for Nine Inch Nails in 2016, and it seems his comments will pay off in a big way very soon.
According to an insider on Reddit (as reported by Consequence of Sound), a single, titled “Dive and Slam”, will be released in September. The user provided photo proof via an image from Kobalt Music Group’s records which was quickly taken down from the site, but not before some users had saved it. The song also appears on an ASCAP registry under Reznor’s name.
“Dive and Slam” will presumably be the lead single on a follow-up record to 2013’s comeback album, Hesitation Marks. Alternative Nation said of the record, “Hesitation Marks is without a doubt a change of direction for Nine Inch Nails. The signature distorted guitars and screamed choruses have been left behind for electronic beats, synth progressions, and pleasantly smooth vocals.”
