Tickets for Nine Inch Nails’ newly announced 2026 tour went on sale yesterday and many fans have noticed the unexpectedly steep prices.
Nine Inch Nails have low ticket sales
For the Washington DC show, tickets in the upper sections, just below nosebleeds were priced around $150, while seats closer to the stage were going for nearly $300.
The steep pricing has led to many fans deciding not to buy tickets. Similar reactions have appeared across social media, with many pointing out that ticket prices are nearly double what they paid during the first leg of the tour. Despite the band’s popularity, availability remained high several hours into the public sale, with many seats still unsold outside of the pit sections.
It seems that a lot people already saw them the first time around on the 2025 Peel It Back tour and aren’t paying up for another show in their area.
If the 2026 shows are similar to the previous run, both in setlist and production — the new pricing structure could further limit enthusiasm. Nine Inch Nails returned to touring for the first time in three years, which generated massive demand from fans for the rare chance to see them live. Despite high ticket prices, the European leg of the tour, which began in June 2025, was successful. The Dublin show alone sold over 12,000 tickets.
With demand appearing softer this time around, fans are wondering whether the high prices will lead to adjustments or discounting closer to the tour’s start. For now, Nine Inch Nails’ upcoming 2026 dates remain widely available, but fans seem to be making it clear that even diehards have their limits.
Last year, The Black Keys cancelled their entire North American tour. The reason was never revealed but many have suspected that poor ticket sales played a part in the decision. Nine Inch Nails might have to face a similar fate if ticket sales don’t improve.
