Legendary former 90’s MTV host Matt Pinfield was recently hit by a car in Los Angeles, and as Nine Inch Nails played a residency at the Hollywood Palladium, Trent Reznor had some words of wisdom for Pinfield.

Pinfield wrote on Instagram, “As Trent Reznor said to me ‘We’re still here against all odds!'”

TMZ reported a couple of weeks ago that Matt Pinfield was recovering in a hospital after getting hit by a car that resulted in major injuries.

A rep for Pinfield told TMZ that the MTV legend was hit by a speeding car on December 3rd, the third anniversary of his friend Scott Weiland’s death, in Los Angeles. Matt was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a leg broken in two places and lacerations to his head that required stitches, and he underwent surgery.

Pinfield has been sharing photos of his recovery on Instagram, even receiving support to maintain his sobriety.

“Another raging sober party in the hospital today. If I can’t get out for a meeting, my friends bring the meeting to me!”

Johnny Deep sent Pinfield a photo of support.

“Johnny and Howie [Weinberg] were planning on coming by the hospital but They were mastering the news Hollywood Vampires album and it ran late so Johnny had to jump on a plane to China for a movie shoot.”
