Ozzy Osbourne funeral details revealed: The funeral procession will pass through Birmingham on Wednesday, July 30th, making a stop at the Black Sabbath Bridge, which has become a memorial to the rock icon.
At 1 p.m. Ozzy’s family will gather at the bridge on Broad Street to view floral tributes and read messages from fans.
Just one day after the news broke of Ozzy Osbourne’s death, Rob Halford took a moment during Judas Priest’s show at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre in England to honor the late Black Sabbath frontman.
“Look, it’s been tough the last 24 hours right? It’s been tough. But he would want us to be doing this, he would want us to be together, he would want us to be having a good time, which is what we’re doing right now. We love you, Ozzy!,” Halford said.
He continued, dedicating a song to the legendary musician: “This next song is all about him and all of the other greats that we’ve lost. Their music lives forever. They used to be down here on the earth plain, now they’re on the sky plain as we call it. This is ‘Giants In The Sky’!”
