Ozzy Osbourne has said about Black Sabbath’s reunion show in new comments on SiriusXM, “I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”

“I am trying to get back on my feet,” he said. “When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but I’m not dead. I’m still actively doing things.”

In a monumental event for heavy metal enthusiasts, Black Sabbath has announced a one-time reunion concert titled Back to the Beginning, scheduled for July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. This performance will mark the first time in two decades that the original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—takes the stage together. The concert is set to be a historic farewell, as it also signifies Osbourne’s final live performance.

The lineup boasts an impressive array of supporting acts, including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, and Mastodon. Additionally, renowned musicians such as Billy Corgan, David Draiman, Duff McKagan, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Jake E. Lee, Jonathan Davis, K.K. Downing, Mike Bordin, Papa V Perpetua, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Sleep Token’s II, Tom Morello, and Wolfgang Van Halen are slated to make special appearances. Tom Morello will serve as the musical director for the event.

Tickets for the highly anticipated concert went on sale on February 14, 2025, and sold out within minutes, leaving many fans frustrated over the swift sellout and high prices.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, reflecting the band’s commitment to giving back to their community.

Reflecting on the significance of the event, Ozzy Osbourne stated, “It’s my time to go back to the beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I will cherish forever.”

This concert not only celebrates the legacy of Black Sabbath but also serves as a heartfelt tribute to their roots and the fans who have supported them throughout their illustrious career.
