Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready suffered an undisclosed injury to his hand within the last few days as Pearl Jam wrapped up their 2018 South American tour. His right hand was wrapped in a bandage for the final show in Sao Paulo.

During the solo to “Corduroy” Eddie Vedder mentioned the injury, greeting Mike and asks “how is your hand”. McCready was too busy soloing to really acknowledge him.

Vedder later praised McCready, “Actually you know what, if someone wants to have something in their hands that makes them feel powerful. I mean really fucking powerful,,,why don’t they pick up a guitar and giant fucking amp? Like Mike McCready did? Mike, show them what you can do with a guitar?”

If you know any more details about Mike’s injury, let us know in the comments, and we hope he has a very speedy recovery!
