An Alternative Nation reader has pointed out that it appears that Stone Gossard played a guitar that is very similar to the Gibson Custom: Chris Cornell ES-335 (Olive Drab Green).

Olga Stewart commented, “And I believe Stone played on this particular guitar during this particular concert: http://images.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/ES/Gibson-Custom/Chris-Cornell-ES-335/Gallery-Images/ARCCODNB1-Finish-Shot.jpg”

“Here is the video of Pearl Jam performing “Black” while Stone is playing that guitar (that I mentioned in my previous comment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgZee7Rmg3Y

If you fast forward to 1:32.02, you will see a shot of Eddie both on the left and facing Stone and Stone on the right (with the guitar).”

Gossard and Pearl Jam have not confirmed the exact type of guitar he played, but below are photos of the guitar followed by video.

Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron received a beautiful gift from a fan named Joyce Driesmans while on tour with Pearl Jam in South America. Cameron posted on Instagram, “Thank you @joycedries for the incredible gift!! ❤????”

The gift depicts a drum set that says ‘Soundgarden Brasil’ on it. Cameron has also been wearing a Chris Cornell tribute t-shirt during Pearl Jam’s 2018 South American tour, and he’s frequently honored his late bandmate and friend since his May 2017 death.

Thank you @joycedries for the incredible gift!! ❤????

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder dedicated the band’s performance of “Come Back” to Chris Cornell at the band’s first show in two years on Tuesday night in Santiago, Chile, but that wasn’t the only Cornell tribute at the show.

Matt Cameron posted on Instagram, “First night of the tour in Santiago, sporting the Chris shirt!”

See a photo below of Cameron wearing his beautiful Chris Cornell tribute shirt at the show.
