Eddie Vedder chatted about inviting Howard Stern to perform with Pearl Jam at the band’s Madison Square Garden show. Vedder said he invited Stern to play tambourine, and ended up playing “Glorified G” specifically for Stern, one of his favorite songs.

During a new interview with AP News about EB Research Partnership’s documentary “Matter of Time,” Eddie Vedder was asked what’s next for Pearl Jam, with the frontman revealing that the band could be gearing up to release new music soon.

“Uh… That’s a good question,” Vedder said with a smile (transcribed by Alternative Nation). “[Laughs] Well, there’ll be more music, that’s for sure.”

“Um… They’ve been kind enough to give me some time to dedicate to this, these issues, this particular cause — Also knowing that that will probably fuel the emotion of when we get back together. But, you know, whenever we get together things happen quickly,” he continued. “So… You know, the funny thing is, after 35 years together — You know, one thing that happened during that time is we’ve all become much better musicians. We really are more of a group now, than ever.”
