Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N’ Roses, and Thunderpussy will form a supergroup for Mike McCready’s ‘Peak to the Sky’ show in Montana, and McCready revealed in an Explore Big Sky interview that he has an offensively hilarious name for the group in consideration. Alternative Nation transcribed his comments.

“I have some kind of potential names here. Hot Pearl Pussy Fighters And Roses. Molly [from Thunderpussy] came up with that one.”

“It’s a working title, but that’s our Mookie Blaylock of this band.”

He also said, “Chad Smith, the drummer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a phenomenal smoking drummer. Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the Foo Fighters, and a singer it turns out, so he will be singing a few of the numbers, and on drum duty.

Molly, Whitney, and Liam from Thunderpussy will be there on Saturday night and doing a few songs. My dear friend Duff McKagan who I grew up with here in Seattle, Washington from Guns N’ Roses will be playing bass. We’ll hopefully have a couple other special guests coming that we haven’t nailed down yet. It’s going to be a good evening of a lot of rock.”

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready recently announced that he has recruited big name friends like Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer and Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins for the inaugural Peak to Sky festival, taking place in Big Sky, Montana on July 6th.
