Ex-Pearl Jam drummer weighs in on Charlie Kirk
Ex-Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese has weighed in on the death of Charlie Kirk after the Republican speaker’s assassination on a college campus in Utah. System of a Down members also weighed in on Kirk’s death, along with Kid Rock.
“You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won’t have a single gun death. I think it’s worth it.”
Abbruzzese later wrote, “I’m not celebrating the murder of this person, Charlie Kirk.
I chose not to watch him or listen to him.
I saw this comment and it explains exactly the reason why I chose not to.
“The late Mr. Kirk never did an honest disagreement… He did staged, bully pulpit gotcha politics which he filmed and edited in order to foment unrest…”
The post went on to say, “He was the architect of his own ending… Homer could not have written a better tragedy, the hubris was epic.”
Trump and his incompetent administration are going to milk this tragic end of a shit stirring podcaster…
Without a doubt.
The Economy, Epstein, Russia /Ukraine/Poland.
Illegally invading cities across the United States with our own military, illegal executive orders, illegal tariffs… This is going to be used as another distraction. That’s the true injustice of it all.
Tragedy? Of course it is to those that cared about or relied upon this man as a friend, husband, father, etc..
And those that witnessed a murder in cold blood.
A National tragedy?
No. More it’s just another glaring example of how fucking sick some members of this society are on both sides, and the willingness of the Trump administration to exploit it for their own means.
If I have upset your delicate sensibilities with this post, go ahead and unfollow, unfriend whatever you feel you need to do. It’s okay.
I am not going to be entering into debates in the comment section.
We are all in this together and there is a lot of ugliness, fear and anger being felt by everyone.
The struggle is real.”
