Pearl Jam are rumored to play at Lollapalooza in South America, according to Twitter rumors. Fans are also speculating about more 2023 stadium shows on the Ten Club board.

tino_11 said, “A question for those in the US, why do bands choose to play in baseball stadiums, rather than football stadiums? Baseball stadiums seem to have the worst set up imaginable for shows.”

Lerxst1992 responded, “Not only are baseball stadiums the absolute worst- putting a band into an expansive outfield a mile from the seats for most- PJ loves to play the oldest stadiums, full of beams and poles that obstruct views and ruin sound. All because the man in charge has a romantic feel for the old stadiums.

To do a real stadium tour takes double the equipment and double the crew to account for a four day set up. To do a fair stadium tour, bands usually do an impressive light show and huge screens, which is fair to the majority of fans sitting a mile away, giving them something to look at. I never understood the allure of stadiums for bands that can pack 20k into an arena. Rammstein drew about 40k to their east coast stadium shows, but they did that because their stadium show was designed for the international dates, and it looked impressive.”
