Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese was infamously snubbed from induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, and he has now reacted to news that the Hall of Fame is adding members to Nine Inch Nails’ induction, though they still haven’t added him to Pearl Jam’s induction like he deserves.

NIN members Atticus Ross, Robin Finck, Chris Vrenna, Danny Lohner, Ilan Rubin, and Alessandro Cortini are now set for induction with Trent Reznor. Reznor pushed for the Hall of Fame to induct some of his current and former bandmates. Billy Corgan reacted to Nine Inch Nails’ Hall of Fame induction earlier this year.

Abbruzzese said, “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame adds 6 members to be inducted with Nine Inch Nails.”

A fan named Luis told Dave, “Nothing more beautiful than people and fans around the world loving you for who you are, what you did and the way you changed music history with the grunge era. RRHOF can burn in hell for being such a hypocrites!!

One thing I know for sure with you being such an important musician in the world takes the time to say happy birthday to normal people like me or others shows me how humble, real and nice of a person you are. Not to mention you are an inspiration, one of my idols and a guy I tremendously respect as a musician and human being!! We need more real people like you in this world!!”

Colton added, “PJ is likely still embarrassed at how they handled your exit from the band. They’re tight (Ed, at least) with the RRHOF powers that be and worked with them in advance on how they wanted to handle things. It was a bad look, so they offered up that letter to save face. I still love the band, but wish they would’ve handled things differently.”

Maryelle wrote, “I love PJ, but they handled that sitch all wrong. Or the Hall handled it wrong. I agree with who they added to NIN and they should be fair about the process across bands. You deserve to have been included, Dave. We all know it. I’m sorry you got screwed on this. It’s unfair.”
