Pearl Jam 2026 tour dates coming?
A fan who ran into EDDIE VEDDER during NEIL YOUNG’s show in Woodinville, WA this past Thursday (Sept. 4th) claims the Pearl Jam frontman told him the band is gearing up to hit the road very soon.
Recalling his conversation with Vedder, the fan explained that the two met while waiting in line for merch after the show. “He was the kindest, most gracious and comforting person,” the fan wrote. “We talked for several minutes […] and after talking about the ‘Dark Matter’ tour […] and how much his band has meant to me and all of my touring friends, he confirmed what we all needed to hear… ‘We are practicing and it won’t be long before we’re back on the road.’”
“My heart is full after hearing these words,” he added.
After a year of touring, Pearl Jam wrapped up their “Dark Matter” tour this past May. Two months later, drummer Matt Cameron announced his decision to leave the band. Currently, Pearl Jam have yet to announce who will replace Cameron behind the kit.
Pearl Jam’s new drummer for tour?
With drummer Matt Cameron’s departure, everybody has been speculating about who might step into Pearl Jam’s revolving seat behind the kit. Since Matt announced his ‘last exit’ after nearly three decades, Pearl Jam have remained silent on an official replacement—a choice that has only fueled rumors in rock circles.
Among the names circulating is Dave Abbruzzese, who drummed on landmark albums Vs. and Vitalogy in the early 1990s. Abbruzzese himself has downplayed the chatter, recently clarifying that “there has been no contact” between him and the band regarding a return.
Another familiar figure fans are discussing is Dave Krusen, Pearl Jam’s original drummer, who played on Ten. Krusen surprised fans by reuniting with Pearl Jam at a 2022 gig when Cameron missed a show due to illness—proof that the chemistry between him and the band remains alive.
On the newer front, Josh Klinghoffer—a Pearl Jam touring member since 2021—has also popped up in rumors. Known mostly for his guitar work, Klinghoffer has solid multi-instrumental chops and even filled in on drums during one 2023 performance.
