Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl remembered seeing a psychic in Australia with his ex-girlfriend Melissa in the 90’s in a new Triple M interview. Grohl dated former Hole bassist Melissa auf der Maur in the 90’s. Alternative Nation transcribed Grohl’s comments.
“Ever since I was a kid, I was a UFO nut. The craziest thing, this is ages ago, we were here playing on one of those Big Day Out tours. I was dating this girl who was really into seeing psychics and that kind of stuff. This friend of ours that lived here, who was the promoter, this guy Steve Pavlovic, he knew of this French woman that lived outside of Sydney that was the real deal. She could like read minds, she was this crazy psychic.
So my girlfriend went to go see here, and me, Steve, and my girlfriend drive out there and drop her off. It’s this little apartment just outside of town, we leave her there for like an hour. We came back to pick her up, and this woman, who didn’t speak English, she spoke French, and my girlfriend spoke French, she said, ‘Wait, let me talk to you.’
I sit down and she says, it’s being translated through my girlfriend, she says, ‘Give me your hands.’ So I’m holding her hands, and she looks at my hands, and she goes, ‘You have a lot of power.’
I’m like, ‘Really?’
She said, ‘There’s so much power from your hands, psychic power.’
I’m like, ‘Wow.’
She said, ‘Can you see ghosts and things?’
I said, ‘No, I’ve never really seen ghosts.’
She said, ‘Do you see things in the sky?’
I said, ‘Well, I’ve always dreamed of UFO’s and things in the sky.’
She said, ‘Those are not dreams. You have experienced these things in your life.’
I’m like, ‘Oh shit.’
Then she gave me this amazing glowing [thing], I’d never sat with a psychic before, after she had just given Melissa this terrible psychic thing that was like, ‘Yeah, that guy you’re dating, it’s not going to last.’”
