Queens of the Stone Age have released a teaser for their new album on Twitter. The teaser features a new logo and says ‘Coming Twentyfive.’ Many fans are speculating that this is teasing the release of the lead single off their new album. If ‘twenty five’ means a date this month, that would mean April 25th. If it is the beginning of a countdown, then it would mean the single will come on May 1st, which seems more likely.

Dean Delray, a friend of Queens of the Stone Age, offered a huge update on the band’s new album on a new Let There Be Talk podcast. Mark Lanegan was the featured guest on the episode.

During the interview Delray asked Lanegan (transcribed by Ultimate-Guitar):

“Did you sing on the new Queens at all or no?”

After Mark said “I did not,” Dean noted: “Have you heard it? I know they just finished, I’m dying to hear it.”

Queens of the Stone Age are expected to release their new album this summer. The band’s last release was 2013’s …Like Clockwork.

Dave Grohl and Josh Homme appeared in a photograph together on a now deleted Instagram post from Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes last month. Hughes posted a photo of himself, Grohl, and Homme in what appears to be a studio. Grohl and Homme have played together in Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures, while Homme and Hughes play together in Eagles of Death Metal. It appears clear now with the latest news that Grohl was in the studio with Queens of the Stone Age.
