Antiquiet is reporting that Queens of the Stone Age management have shot down rumors that the band have already set a release date for the lead single off of their next album, calling the news ‘totally fake.’

ThePRP were claiming to have seen a Matador Records promo would be releasing a new single titled “Head Boy Machine” on July 31, 2017. Turns out that it’s fake news!

Queens of the Stone Age recently made an Instagram post about President Donald Trump.

“This man is a shallow, inept, multi-bankrupt declaring, narcissistic, narrow minded, out of touch, objectifying, barf inducing, fascist, clown penis… who also happens to be re-stup-redicu-lame,” wrote QOTSA on Instagram. The band’s post concluded with a quote from political theorist Edmund Burke, who is viewed as the philosophical founder of modern conservatism: ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.'”

Queens of the Stone Age rarely discuss politics, but frontman Josh Homme’s Eagles of Death Metal bandmate Jesse Hughes discussed it in a March 2016 interview on the Fox Business Channel.

“I love my friends, and I hate that if you even want to say the word Trump, you can’t say the word Trump.” Hughes added that he wouldn’t say he’s a Donald Trump supporter, despite media reports, but he had critical words for the Democratic party. “I’ve never felt like this before, but I’m starting to see the entire Democratic party as a bunch of kids who didn’t want to clean their room, and have let them amplify into real life like this. They’re always telling everybody they’re not going to clean their room.

“I saw a bumper sticker the other day here in Los Angeles this disturbed me, it said: ‘Not a Republican.’ That to me sums up what is wrong with the modern Democratic party and why I left it so many years ago, as does anyone else who isn’t lying, it’s because that’s how they identify themselves, by what they’re not.”
