Amid growing speculation surrounding Radiohead’s name on the bottom tier of Coachella’s official 2025 poster, Festive Owl has reported that fans should not expect a live performance from the band at this year’s festival.

Uncertainty over Radiohead’s performance

According to individuals familiar with the situation, “there are currently no plans for the band to be physically at the festival or performing live” during either weekend of Coachella, disappointing fans hoping to see the band. Instead, the billing is tied to Kid A Mnesia, the band’s immersive exhibit first launched in 2021 to celebrate the anniversaries of Kid A and Amnesiac.

Exactly what form the Kid A Mnesia experience will take at Coachella remains unclear. The exhibit has previously existed as both a digital installation and physical art environment, blurring the lines between music, visuals, and interactivity.

That uncertainty has fueled fan theories, with some holding out hope for a surprise performance. Coachella is notorious for pulling last-minute additions and unannounced appearances, but as of now, reports insist no such plans are in motion for Radiohead themselves.

Radiohead has headlined the festival three times: in 2004, 2012, and 2017. The band has previously created immersive experiences related to their albums “Kid A” and “Amnesiac.” In 2021, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of both albums, Radiohead partnered with Epic Games to launch the video game-style “Kid A Mnesia Exhibition.” A physical exhibition was also planned but was ultimately canceled due to the pandemic.

Although Radiohead recently announced its first tour dates since 2018 for this fall in Europe, it remains unclear whether the “Kid A Mnesia” bunker will include a performance at Coachella or what specific details the area will feature.
