Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk sent a touching message to The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger before his surgery.
“I hope @mickjagger has a successful surgery and recovery. We need you here! Seriously…. ❤️”
CNN reported a few days ago that Mick Jagger is recovering after a heart valve replacement procedure.
“Mick Jagger has successfully undergone treatment. He is doing very well and is expected to make a full recovery,” a representative for Jagger said in a statement to CNN.
A source close to the band told CNN earlier this week that Jagger was being treated to replace a valve in his heart, but a representative for the singer declined to elaborate.
“Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend – and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job,” Jagger wrote in a tweet Friday afternoon.
NBC reports, “Mick Jagger, 75, is back on his feet after undergoing heart surgery.
The Rolling Stones announced last month they were postponing their upcoming tour that was slated to start on April 20 due to Jagger’s health.
On Thursday, Jagger posted a photo on social media of him up and about, with the caption, ‘A walk in the park!’
Last week, he posted an update on Facebook, saying his heart-valve surgery was successful and thanking his fans for their support during his recovery.”
