Tom Morello posted on Instagram, “ARREST THE PRESIDENT. When the oligarchs & racists decided American Fascism was their plan and occupied L.A. they picked the wrong muthaf*ckin’ city to come after! HUGE celebration. If resistance last Saturday in the streets. (Props to @ozomatli for the lift and @ursula.vari for the pics).”

Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee marched shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands in Los Angeles on June 14 as part of the nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations opposing Donald Trump’s military parade and perceived authoritarian drift. On-street amps powered impromptu performances of “Killing in the Name” and “Bring Me to Life,” fueling chants that echoed across Pershing Square.

The pair later livestreamed a joint acoustic set calling for “solidarity strikes” and urging fans to register voters before November’s congressional mid-terms. Meanwhile, protests in more than 2,000 U.S. cities drew an estimated five million people; clashes in L.A. and Seattle saw teargas deployed and several arrests, while a violent incident in Minnesota left two lawmakers dead, according to police.

Morello framed the day as “a reminder that rock ’n’ roll and resistance share the same DNA,” vowing further action if the White House continues deploying federal forces against demonstrators.
