Billboard is reporting that Rage Against The Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk are forming ‘Prophets of Rage’ with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. The band will perform Rage Against The Machine’s hit songs, along with tracks by Public Enemy and Cypress Hill.

The band’s debut is set for Hollywood Palladium on June 3, with a show at L.A.’s Whisky a Go Go planned as well. A 2016 summer tour is also being considered. The project is rumored to have something to do with the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, which is likely to pit Republican Donald Trump against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Rage Against The Machine launched a new website called ProphetsofRage.com yesterday with a countdown clock ending on June 1st. If you subscribe for the website you get a message saying “Clear the way for the Prophets of Rage,” an instant email reply reads. “The party’s over summer 2016.” A Facebook page has also been launched that links to Cypress Hill and Public Enemy videos. ‘Prophets of Rage’ logo posters have also been put up in Los Angeles. Rage Against The Machine last performed together in July 2011 at LA Rising.
