A rare photo of Stone Temple Pilots with Rolling Stones members Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood has surfaced from backstage on the Stones’ ‘Voodoo Lounge’ tour. Ronnie Wood (second left) and Keith Richards (second right) pose in the photo with Stone Temple Pilots members on August 1, 1994. Pictured are, from left, Eric Kretz, Wood, Scott Weiland, Dean DeLeo, Richards, and Robert DeLeo. Paul Natkin took the photo.

Weiland frequently compared himself to Richards due to his ability to survive years of drug abuse. “That’s stuff I dealt with, like, 14 years ago,” he said in 2014. “I guess Keith Richards gets asked about it, so why shouldn’t I? But it’s not something that I think about ever.” Mary Weiland wrote in her 2009 book Fall to Pieces that back in the 90’s, she and Scott had a framed photo of Keith Richards in their favorite cocaine tray
