Scott Weiland’s son Noah says he ‘hasn’t heard sh*t’ from Stone Temple Pilots since his father died.
Weiland said the DeLeo brothers were supposed to be his ‘godparents.’ The interviewer then told him many fans want to see him become lead singer of STP, like Jakob Nowell has done with Sublime.

Weiland said Dave Kushner and Matt Sorum from Velvet Revolver have reached out to him.

Scott Weiland’s son says Stone Temple Pilots are ‘WASHED UP’ and ‘hanging onto relevancy for dear life.’
Noah Weiland said, “The DeLeo brothers tried hiring the singer of Highly Suspect to take my Dad’s spot as the singer, he said no, and they lied in an interview saying they never asked him.”

Noah Weiland, born in 2000, is carving his own path in the music industry while honoring the legacy of his father, Scott Weiland, the late frontman of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. Growing up in Southern California, Noah was immersed in music from an early age. In 2020, he co-founded the band Suspect208 with London Hudson and Tye Trujillo, sons of Slash and Robert Trujillo, respectively. Their debut single, “Long Awaited,” garnered significant attention, but the band dissolved in 2021 amid personal challenges.

Following the breakup, Noah embarked on a solo career, releasing tracks like “Yesterday” and “One Day,” which showcase his blend of alternative rock and pop influences. His cover of “Sex Type Thing” by Stone Temple Pilots serves as a poignant tribute to his father, reflecting on their complex relationship and Scott’s enduring impact on music.

Noah has been candid about his struggles with substance abuse, a battle that led to his departure from Suspect208. In interviews, he has discussed how his experiences have deepened his understanding of his father’s own struggles, fostering a sense of empathy and forgiveness. Now focused on his music and personal growth, Noah is determined to establish his identity as an artist, aiming to connect with audiences through his authentic voice and experiences.
