A scumbag attempted to sell items from Chester Bennington’s funeral for $51,000 and $34,000 on eBay. Fortunately Kerrang’s James McMahon and other reported the item to eBay, and they are being removed. See the photos below, followed by the correspondence regarding the deletion of the auctions.

On Saturday, July 29th, late Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots frontman Chester Bennington’s private service at South Coast Botanical Garden in Palos Verdes Estates hosted more than five hundred family members and close friends. Ted Stryker of KROQ led the service.

Chester’s Stone Temple Pilots bandmates Robert and Dean DeLeo, ex-Velvet Revolver/Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, Damon Fox, and Jimmy Gnecco teamed up for a powerful and poignant rendition of “Amazing Grace”. Ryan Shuck — who comprised Dead By Sunrise with Chester — and Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn were among the friends who gave heartfelt eulogies.

Robert DeLeo tweeted the following.

TMZ released two photos from Chester Bennington’s funeral in Palos Verdes, CA. One photo sees police at the scene of the funeral, providing tight security. Click here to view the photos we posted earlier from the funeral.

Many of the guests were musicians who’d played or toured with Chester and Linkin Park. A full stage, including a drum kit, was set up for musical tributes to be performed.
